Jesus asked a man who had suffered for 38 years, "Do you want to be made well?" At first, the answer seems obvious. Yet His question reaches far beyond physical healing. Sometimes our wounds, fears, bitterness, and even our sins become so familiar that change feels frightening. Christ offers more than restored bodies. He offers healing for the soul and a new life to everyone willing to trust Him.

Why did so many of God's greatest servants spend time in the wilderness before He used them? Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, John the Baptist, Jesus, and Paul all experienced seasons of waiting, testing, or hardship. Those years were not wasted. God was preparing them for the work He had planned. Could your own wilderness be a place of preparation?

Being spiritually asleep rarely happens all at once. It begins with small compromises, neglected prayer, and forgetting God's Word. Yet throughout Scripture, Jesus, Paul, Peter, and John all give the same urgent command: Wake up!
