Jesus warns that we will give account for every idle word we speak (Matthew 12:36). Careless, unprofitable, or exaggerated speech reveals what is truly in our hearts. Words can destroy confidence, damage relationships, and even ruin lives. In a culture filled with gossip, online hostility, and careless language, Christians are called to speak words that build up, not tear down. May God set a guard over our mouths and shape our hearts so our speech reflects Christ.
