How can Christians stand for truth without becoming self-righteous? Scripture calls us to pursue righteousness while remembering that it is Christ's righteousness, not our own, that saves us. Speaking the truth in love means correcting with humility, receiving correction ourselves, and pointing others to Christ rather than proving we are right. Boldness without love becomes harshness. Love without truth becomes compromise.
Peter believed Christ could return at any time. Instead of fear or panic, he called believers to prayer, holiness, love, and faithful service. Paul describes Christians as "vessels for honor," prepared for every good work. If Jesus returned today, would He find us living for ourselves or faithfully serving His kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit?
